Electric Pink Voices is Blackpool's LGBTQ+ community choir -  a space built on pride, joy, friendship, and the transformative power of singing together. This document is a reminder of why we're here, and a shared commitment to keeping this space brilliant for everyone who walks through our door.

Whether you've been with us from the beginning or you're warming up your voice for the first time, welcome. You belong here.

 

 

 

 

Who We Are

 

EPV is, at its heart, an LGBTQ+ choir. Our mission and vision is to celebrate LGBTQ+ stories, lives, and experiences through music. We are proud, we are loud (in the best possible way), and we are rooted in Blackpool's LGBTQ+ community.

We are also deeply and genuinely inclusive. Everyone is welcome to sing with us, whatever your sexuality, gender identity, background, or experience of choral singing. Our doors are open. Our values are clear.

Being a member of EPV means embracing and celebrating our LGBTQ+ identity.

If you're here, there’s opportunity to embrace: the rainbow, the music, the community, the social activism, and the occasional glitter.

  • That identity is not up for negotiation, and it will always be reflected in our music, our partnerships, our projects, and our purpose.
  • We actively celebrate the full breadth of our LGBTQ+ community — gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, non-binary, queer, and all identities within and beyond that spectrum.
  • Allies are valued, cherished members of this choir,  who amplify LGBTQ+ voices and foster diversity and inclusion because they expand our collective voice for social change.

  • Our goal is a choir that feels like home to everyone, and especially to the LGBTQ+ people of Blackpool and the Fylde Coast for whom this space was created.
